Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 4 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1902 (7584 Pte., Gordon Highrs.) suspension detached from medal; 1914 Star (7584 Pte., 1/Gord. Highrs.); British War and Victory Medals (7584 Sjt., Gordons) very fine and better except where stated (4) £140-180

Private James Rumbles, 1st Battalion Gordon Highlanders, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 14 September 1914. As a Serjeant he was discharged on 6 May 1916 and awarded the Silver War Badge (not in lot). With copied m.i.c. and roll extract confirming Q.S.A. clasps. Together with four officer’s ‘pips’, in leather case.
