Robert Branch was born in the Parish of Truston [Troston], Suffolk, and enlisted into the Royal Horse Artillery on 30 March 1805, aged seventeen. He served in Captain Bean’s “D” Troop and was discharged on 30 November 1818, in consequence of a contusion, and was admitted on the Pension List at 2/6 per day from 1 December 1818. He had served a total of 14 years 334 days, excluding 1 year underage but including 2 years for Waterloo. Sold with copied discharge details.
