Waterloo 1815 (George Gold, Gunner, Royal Field Artillery.) fitted with replacement steel clip and ring suspension, light edge bruising and contact marks, very fine £1200-1400
George Gold was born at Aldridge, Stafford, and enlisted into the 3rd Battalion of the Royal Artillery on 21 February 1814, a Bridle Cutter by trade, aged twenty-two. He was discharged on 9 December 1815, in consequence of a wound in the leg and pensioned at nine pence per diem. Sold with copied discharge papers.
