Ellis Stoddart was born in the Parish of Pendle, Lancashire, and enlisted into the Royal Artillery on 17 October 1799, aged nineteen. He served with the 6th Battalion and was discharged to pension, on reduction, on 4 March 1815. Sold with copied discharge papers and medal roll entry.
