Clair Willis Lamont was born in Welwyn, Saskatchewan, on 18 August 1911. A Farm Labourer by occupation, he attested for the Army at Indian Head, Saskatchewan, in August 1940, and was appointed a Gunner in the Royal Canadian Artillery. Posted to 6th Field Regiment, R.C.A., he was killed in action in France on 25 July 1944, and was buried in the Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian War Cemetery, Calvados, France.

Sold with R.C.A. cap badge, lapel badge, and a pair of ‘R.C.A.’ titles, together with copied service and other papers.
