George Watson Kinnear was born in West Ferry, Dundee, Scotland, on 10 June 1891. He enlisted into the 89th (Alberta) Battalion in November 1915, but was serving with the 31st (Alberta) Battalion when killed in action during the battle of Thiepval Ridge on 27 September 1916. He was buried in the Adanac Military Cemetery, Miraumont; sold with copied service and other references.
