Wandle William Gregory was born in Mason City, West Virginia, U.S.A., on 23 June 1883. Living in Washington County, Washington and employed as a Labourer, he enlisted into the 9th Battalion at Valcartier in September 1914, and served with the 4th (Central Ontario) Battalion in England and France. Wounded on 2 October 1918 with a gunshot wound to the chest, and awarded the M.M., he was discharged at Calgary in March 1919. Gregory died in March 1959; sold with copied service papers.
