Malcolm Joseph McKinnon was born in Iona, Nova Scotia, on 23 May 1894. A Farmer by occupation, and a member of the 94th Victoria Regiment (Argyll Highlanders) Militia, he enlisted into the C.E.F. at Sydney, N.S., in September 1915. Serving with the Royal Canadian Regiment, he was killed in action on 8 October 1916, during the battle for the Regina Trench. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial; sold with copied service papers.
