George Wesley Baker was born in Chesley, Ontario, on 9 January 1892. Enlisting in the Canadian Field Artillery at Toronto in January 1917, he was assigned to 70th Battery, C.F.A., and was accidentally killed at Witley Camp on 13 May 1918. He was buried in Witley (Milford) Cemetery; sold with copied service papers.

Note: The C.W.G.C. website reveals several men with the surname ‘Baker’ and the initials ‘G. W.’
