Ward Brian Williams was born in Winnipeg on 28 October 1893. A Clerk by occupation, he enlisted into the 15th Overseas Brigade, Canadian Field Artillery, at Winnipeg, in March 1916, and was transferred to the 61st Battery, 14th Brigade, C.F.A., on entering France in August 1917. Wounded in the stomach in August 1918, he was awarded the M.M. and was discharged in May 1919; sold with copied service papers and war diary extracts.
