I.D.S.M. London Gazette 17 October 1939, for services on the North West Frontier of India.

Kartar Singh enlisted on 17 February 1915, was appointed a Jemadar on 16 August 1932 and Subadar on 16 February 1939. He served in the Great War in Iraq, January 1917-November 1918; in Iraq, 1919-20, and on the North West Frontier, 1936-37. With copied research.
