D.C.M. London Gazette 3 June 1919; citation: 11 March 1920 ‘He has carried out his duties with most conspicuous devotion to duty. During the period under review, through his determination and disregard of personal danger, he overcame all difficulties, and never failed to deliver ammunition, rations and water to his battalion in the line.’
