Eugene Howison was a French Canadian and a Carpenter by trade, who enlisted into Orpen’s Horse on 13 February 1900. His father’s address is given as ‘Sheriff’s Office, Montreal, Canada’. Howison died of disease at Hopetown on 26 May 1900. Listed as ‘Harrison’ in the published casualty roll. With copied service paper and roll extract - the latter lists him as being ‘accidentally killed’.
