Herbert Stanley Dickinson was born in Liverpool. A Butcher by occupation, he attested for one years service with the Imperial Yeomanry on 19 February 1901, aged 25 years, 11 months. He served in the 88th (Welsh Yeomanry) Company, 9th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry. With copied service papers and roll extracts.
