Rex Freeman was born on 31 December 1922. He qualified as a L.D.S. R.C.S. and registered as a Dentist on 12 July 1946. Entering the Royal Army Dental Corps, he attained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in March 1969. He was Officer Commanding No. 3 Dental Group, March 1974-March 1976, and Officer Commanding No. 10 Dental Group, March 1976-March 1978. Lieutenant-Colonel Freeman retired from the R.A.D.C. in 1979.
