Edward Henry Bicker enlisted at Bournemouth. Initially served with the 1/7th Battalion Hampshire Regiment. When serving with the 1/4th Battalion in Mespotamia he was killed in action on 24 February 1917, aged 31 years. His name is commemorated on the Basra Memorial. He was the son of Edward and Jane Bicker of Lloyds Bank Chambers, Bournemouth; and was a Pupil of Messrs. Bicker and Pettitt, Incorporated Accountants. With a portrait photograph of the recipient.
