Maynard Cooper enlisted on 5 June 1916. Serving with the Sussex Yeomanry he entered Gallipoli on 7 October 1915 and was wounded (ref. The Times 21 January 1916). He was discharged due to sickness on 12 May 1916 and awarded the Silver War Badge. With copied m.i.c. and roll extract.
