Medal authorised by Army Order January 1913. John Rawlins was discharged on 19 December 1914, being no longer physically fit for war service. He was awarded the Silver War Badge. He had been awarded the Q.S.A. with clasps for Cape Colony and Orange Free State. With copied service papers.
