Private Joseph Wheatley, Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 11 December 1914. With copied m.i.c.

John Lawrence Woollands, a Miner, from Horsley Woodhouse, Derbyshire, enlisted into the 5th Battalion Sherwood Foresters on 2 November 1914, having previously served over 6 years with the 1st Battalion and 3 years with the 5th Battalion. He served in France/Flanders from 1 March 1915 until his discharge due to sickness on 28 July 1917. Awarded the Silver War Badge (not with lot). With copied research and an original photograph of him wearing his Silver War Badge.
