Charles John Cresswell, 20th Battalion Royal Fusiliers, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 14 November 1915. Commissioned into the Sherwood Foresters on 31 July 1917. He joined the 5th Battalion whilst they were engaged in the Lens/Cambrai sector. Cresswell was wounded on 23 July 1918 whilst the battalion was in the Gorre/Essars sector. With copied m.i.c. and some service details.
