Henry Hagger was born in and enlisted at Nottingham. Serving with the 1st Battalion Notts & Derbys he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 4 November 1914. Serving with the 16th Battalion he was killed in action, Flanders, on 1 July 1917. He was buried in the Brandhoek Military Cemetery, Belgium.
