Frederick Tinmouth was born in Bromley-by-Bow, Middlesex and enlisted at Whitstable, Kent. With the East Kent Regiment he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 7 October 1915 (awarded the 1914-15 Star trio). With the 8th Battalion he was awarded the Military Medal. Later transferred to the Labour Corps, he died at home on 21 October 1918, aged 42 years. He was buried in the Brookwood Military Cemetery, Surrey.
