Walter Mann was born in Birtley, Co. Durham on 22 August 1903 and entered the Royal Navy in January 1919. H.M.S. Resource was a repair ship.

Edward James Bannister was born in Rye, Sussex on 2 September 1902 and entered the Royal Navy in July 1918.

Henry Edward Philp was born in Devonport on 12 September 1895 and entered the Royal Navy in March 1919.
