Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, dated reverse, 1 clasp, Suakin 1884 (C. G. Pitts, E.R. Artfr., H.M.S. “Euryalus”) pitted, nearly very fine £140-180

Clement George Pitts was born in Weymouth, Dorset on 1 April 1849. He entered the Royal Navy as Blacksmith’s Crew on 4 March 1871. Promoted to Blacksmith in August 1873 on Spiteful; Acting E.R.A. in June 1881 on Asia and E.R.A. in July 1882 on Euryalus. Awarded the Royal Navy L.S. & G.C. in 1881 when on Asia. He died on 16 February 1925. With copied service papers.
