Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, dated reverse, no clasp (J. T. Westbrook, Eng. R. Artfr., H.M.S. “Seahorse”); Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., V.R., narrow suspension (John J. Westbrook, E.R. Artr., H.M.S. John James Westbrook was born in Hambleton, Hampshire on 30 August 1844. Entering the Royal Navy as an Acting Engine Room Artificer on 1 January 1873, he was confirmed in that rank in April 1874. Served on Seahorse, January 1881-January 1884, seeing service in the Egypt War 1882 and awarded the Royal Navy L.S. & G.C. Pensioned ashore on 30 April 1891; he died in Portsmouth, 1931. With copied service papers.
