Andrew Pearson served as an Able Seaman aboard H.M.S. Albion at Navarino, and as Captain of the Forecastle aboard H.M.S. Edinburgh at Syria. He received his L.S. & G.C. medal as Master-at-Arms aboard H.M.S. Bittern on 15 July 1845.
