Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, undated reverse (Lieut. A. M. B. Jones, 20th Hussars) nearly very fine £160-200

Arthur Morgan Bulkeley Jones was born on 26 December 1861. He was commissioned a Lieutenant in the 20th Hussars (from the Militia) on 31 October 1883. Promoted to Captain in December 1889, Major in September 1899 and Lieutenant-Colonel in September 1907. Placed on Half Pay on 9 September 1907. Was awarded the Egypt and Sudan Medal without clasp and the Khedive’s Star and the Queen’s South Africa Medal with four clasps. For his services in the Boer War he was mentioned in despatches (London Gazette 29 July 1902).
