Waterloo 1815 (Cornelius Coward 16th or Queen’s Light Drag.) fitted with original steel clip and ring suspension, old attempt to score through name, edge bruising and contact marks, therefore good fine

Ex Payne Collection 1911.

Cornelius Coward was born at Broughton, in the county of Lancaster, and enlisted into the 16th Lancers at the age of 21 in March 1793. He served a total of 25 years 306 days, including two years for Waterloo, and was discharged at Dublin on 29 January 1817, in consequence of a reduction in the regiment. Sold with copied discharge papers.
