Co Cork, Cork, Cork Bank, Thirty Shillings, 2 January 1807, no. 915, payable by a Bank of Ireland Note, for Sir Thomas Roberts Bt, James Bonwell and John Leslie, signed by John Leslie. Heavily circulated with worn edges, holes at lower centre and bottom right and many small holes in body, otherwise intact, good to very good (£300-400)

Established in 1786; evolved as Leslie & Co in 1819. The bank was located in St Patrick’s street. Sir Thomas Roberts, 1st Bt (1738-1817), Brightfieldstown, co Cork; James Bonwell (1732-1810), Sunday-Wells, Cork
