Lawrence Sheriff Lower School, Rugby, Henry Tull Rhoades Medal, 1890, a silver award, unsigned, arms and crest, rev. naked male holding torch, 52mm; Jeanne d’Arc, an oval bronze plaque, unsigned, for the Bromsgrove Guild, 51 x 31mm; 500th Anniversary of the Battle of Shrewsbury, 1903, a bronze medal, unsigned [by Robinson & Co], 38mm (BHM 3897) [3]. Provenance: First two from the estate of the sculptor Walter Gilbert (1871-1946), who taught art at Rugby and Harrow (see also lots 1424, 1428, 1440 and 1515). It is almost certain that the first medal is his work
