Sir Alexander Fleming, c. 1956, a large uniface cast bronze medal by F. Kovacs, bust right wearing bow-tie, sir alexander fleming discoverer of penicillin around, 119mm (cf. BHM 4460, footnote paragraph 3). Some casting ‘bumps’ to outer edge at 12, 2, 8 and 10 o’clock and surface somewhat stained, otherwise much as made, extremely rare £100-150
