Great Britain, Athletics: Northampton Amateur Athletic Club, a group of three gold badges in the shape of a Maltese Cross, by Vaughton, arms, back named (Club Championship Gymnastics 1896, W. Parker…W. Parker, Gymnastics, 1897…W. Parker, Gymnastics, 1898), hallmarked Birmingham 1895, 1896 and 1897 respectively, second 12ct, others 9ct, all 40 x 34mm; together with Austria, Franz Josef, Restrike Ducat, 1915 [4]. First fine, second extremely fine and in original red case, third very fine, last brilliant; badges with clips and rings for suspension (£50-60)

The recipient was a noted gymnast who later participated as a judge in the 1924 Olympic Games, Paris; worthy of further research
