France, Daphnis et Chloé, c.1900, a uniface bronze medal by C.P. Pillet, naked figure of Daphnis, seated on a rock, whispering confidences to a naked Chloé who kneels and faces him, 50mm (PBE –; cf. Coll. R. Marx 465; BDM IV, 537). Very fine, rare (£40-60)
