Hackney Horse Society, Perpetual Challenge Cup, 1929, a wooden frame flanked by two pillars, upon which have been screwed six engraved silver plaques by Mappin & Webb, listing all the winners of the Cup from 1929 to 1954, 305 x 265mm. Very fine and as made, a most interesting association piece; with brass hooks on the back for suspension (£60-80)

The Cup was originally presented by Lady Nina Knowles (née Ogilvie-Grant), widow of Sir Lees Knowles, Bt, CVO, OBE, TD (1857-1928), of 4 Park Street, Mayfair, formerly Conservative MP for Salford West, 1886-1906
