Gyles Childe (†November 1661), mercer, first wife Ellen (†June 1636), second wife Dorothy. Edward Cope, draper, wife’s name Dorothy (†July 1674). William Dawney (1613-85), innholder, The King’s Head, Market square, churchwarden 1665, wife’s name Elizabeth (†August 1692, aged 84). Joseph Freer (b. January 1625/6), grocer, wife’s name Mary (†April 1660). Thomas Hill (†May 1676), mercer and draper, Baptist, tried and condemned to death as a heretic in 1662 for refusing to conform but reprieved by a personal pardon granted by Charles II
