M.C. London Gazette 30 July 1919. ‘T./Qrmr. and Lt. William Scott, 2nd Bn. R. Sco. Fus.’ ‘For gallant and prompt action on the night of October 3rd/4th, 1918, at Keilburg, when in charge of the ration party, and the party came under heavy enemy barrage which wounded a driver and caused his horse to bolt. He first rushed his wagons through the barrage, and then galloped five kilometres back and brought back the other wagon and delivered his rations intact.’
Army L.S. & G.C. awarded by A.O. 67 in April 1907; M.S.M. awarded by A.O. 103 in 1945.
