Sold with an article about the Royal Auxiliary Air Force, published in Winter 1977, which gives mention of the recipient: ‘Amongst the ‘old hands’, Flight Sergeant Vic Jewell was in the Army on anti-aircraft radar during the war but plumped for the RAuxAF in 1951 because he ‘just liked the idea’.
