Three: Private A. Mackieson, Royal Army Medical Corps, killed in action, France/Flanders, 27 May 1918

Andrew Mackieson was born in Woodside, Lanark and enlisted at Glasgow. He entered the Egypt theatre of war on 25 June 1915. Serving with the 2nd (Lowland) Field Ambulance R.A.M.C., he was killed in action, France/Flanders on 27 May 1918, aged 22 years. He was buried in the Ecoivres Military Cemetery, Mont St. Eloi, Pas de Calais, France. He was the son of Andrew and Jean Mackieson of Glasgow.

With damaged card lid to the box for the British War and Victory Medals and registered envelope for the memorial plaque addressed to ‘Mr A. Mackieson, 124 Sandy Lane, Chorlton-C-Hardy, Manchester’.
