90th Perthshire Light Infantry Officers’ Mess Dinner Plate. An extremely fine and rare example (24 cms) of rococo outline, the white ground decorated on the outer edge with gold panels, the inner edge of mid blue leading down to the central reserve which is ornately decorated with gold swags and panelling. In the centre a polychrome badge featuring a crowned circular strap ‘Perthshire Light Infantry’, in the centre a strung bugle horn with ‘XC’ within the strings over the Sphinx/Egypt. Probably by Coleport c. 1820 - 40, two hairline cracks to the central reserve otherwise in very good condition £300-400
