Memorial Plaque 1914-18 (Alexander Henry Barby) very fine £80-100

Able Seaman Alexander Henry Barby, Royal Navy was killed on active service when his submarine E.10 was sunk by a mine in the North Sea, 21 October 1915. The vessel went down with all hands.

His name is recorded on the Portsmouth Naval Memorial. He was the husband of Alice Barby, of 42 Dukes Avenue, Fordington, Dorchester, Dorset.
