Army of India 1799-1826, 1 clasp, Nepaul (Thos. Dutton, 24th Foot) short hyphen reverse, officially impressed naming, suspension a little slack, contact marks, nearly very fine £1600-1800

Thomas Dutton was born at Manchester and enlisted for the 24th Foot at Peebles on 6 April 1814, aged twenty, for unlimited service. He served eight years 2 months in the East Indies, during which period he took part in the Nepaul campaign. A man of average height at five feet five inches, he was, nevertheless, discharged on 29 September 1823, in consequence of being ‘under size’. Sold with copied discharge papers.
