Early Anglo-Saxon Period, Sceatta, Primary series B1, diademed head left, cross in front, annulet and crescent of pellets behind, all within beaded circle, rev. bird on cross, annulets at sides and below cross limbs, all within serpent circle, 1.31g/2h (M –; N –; S –). Of good silver, better than very fine, extremely rare £200-300

It has been suggested that this is a left-facing contemporary continental imitation of type B. Note however the high weight and fineness
