Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal (9027 Pte. J. Sweeney, Vol. Coy., Rl. Highldrs.) officially re-impressed, clasps loose on ribbon; British War and Victory Medals (039518 Pte., A.O.C.) about very fine or better (3) £50-70

Private J. G. Sweeney went out to South Africa with the 1st Active Service Section from the 3rd Volunteer Battalion, Black Watch. On his return he was made an Honorary Burgess of Dundee. Sold with a copied photograph of recipient from the Angus Muster Roll.
