Three: Lieutenant and Adjutant George Toseland, 33rd Regiment, late Sergeant-Major, Grenadier Guards

Crimea 1854-56, 1 clasp, Sebastopol (Adjutant 33rd Regiment) regimentally impressed naming, clasp loose as issued; Legion of Honour, Knight’s breast badge, silver, gold and enamels; Turkish Crimea, Sardinian issue, officer’s type by ‘J.B.’, together with companion miniature medals, all fitted with silver ribbon buckles, the Legion of Honour badly damaged, otherwise nearly very fine (6) £300-350

Lieutenant & Adjutant George Toseland was wounded in the final attack on the Redan, 8 September, 1855. Sergeant-Major Toseland was appointed Ensign in the 33rd Foot, without purchase, from the Grenadier Guards, on 25 September 1855, and appointed Adjutant the same day. He resigned by sale of his commission on 3 March 1857.
