Richard Hooper was born at Litchfield, Hampshire, on 2 May 1832. He served as Able Seaman aboard H.M.S. Niger in the Crimea, and as Leading Seaman aboard H.M.S. Calcutta during the operations in China 1857-58. Sold with full confirmation.
