Royal Humane Society, small bronze medal (successful), (Thomas Paxton, 30th May 1911) complete with bronze ribbon buckle and in case of issue, good very fine £40-50

R.H.S. Bronze Medal, Case No. 38,457: ‘At 4.15 p.m. on the 30th May, 1911, two youths while bathing in the Tyne at Scotswood got into difficulty and went under in 12 feet of water. Thomas Paxton plunged in and, after diving, succeeded in saving both.’ Sold with copies from the Society’s records.
