General Service 1962 (3), 1 clasp, Northern Ireland (24791468 Pte. S. Maltman, Para) with U.N. Cyprus and wooden plaque for 3 Para ‘Patrol Platoon’; 1 clasp, Northern Ireland (24455746 Pte. J. Dainty, Para); 1 clasp, Northern Ireland (24335203 Sig. A. J. Horner, R. Signals) with Para wings mounted on plaque inscribed to Horner in ‘216 Para Signal Squadron, March 1976’; together with mounted group of 3 miniatures, comprising G.S.M., 2 clasps, Cyprus, Near East; U.N. Cyprus; C.S.M., 1 clasp, South Arabia, contained in display frame with beret badge, wings and flashes, attributed to 22308086 Sgt. J. Whittaker, 1 Para and HQ 16 Para Brigade, generally good very fine (6) £150-200

Stephen Maltman enlisted as a Junior Para in 1984 and was posted to 3 Para for 1986 tour in Cyprus. He served with 3 Para Patrol Platoon in Northern Ireland in 1987, and with A Coy, 1 Para from 1989 until his discharge in 1992. Recipient states that during this period he also served in Close Observation Platoon with 14 Int Coy, and with the elite Pathfinders. Sold with his M.T. Drivers Permit.

‘Billy’ Dainty served with 2 Para and left for 4 Para (V) in 1981. (Pegasus Journals refer).
