Afghanistan 1878-80, 2 clasps, Ahmed Khel, Kandahar (771 Pte. P. Robinson, 2/60th Foot) contact marks, therefore nearly very fine £180-200

Patrick Robinson enlisted into the 65th Foot at Dublin on 18 January 1866, aged 17 years and 9 months. He rose to the rank of Sergeant but transferred on re-engagement to the 2/60th Rifles in the rank of Private in April 1876. In January 1884 he was posted to the 6th K.R.R.C. in the rank of Sergeant, becoming Colour-Sergeant in May 1884, and Sergeant Instructor of Musketry in May 1888. At the end of June 1889 he transferred to the 7th Bn. Rifle Brigade and was finally discharged on 24 January 1893, after more than 27 years service. Sold with copy service papers.
