South Africa 1877-79, clasp, 1878 (1137 Pte. T. Stevenson, 80th Foot) nearly extremely fine £300-350

Thomas Stevenson was born at Devizes, Wiltshire, and enlisted at Aldershot on 6 February 1868, aged 28 years 3 months, having previously served in the 52nd Foot, 1857-67. He was discharged from the army in November 1882 and is also entitled to the I.G.S. Medal with clasp for Perak. Sold with copy service papers. Medal and clasp verified on roll, one of 294 clasps to the regiment from a total of only 357 clasps to British forces.
