Timothy Looby was born at Cashel, Co. Tipperary, and enlisted at Clonmel on 10 October 1876, aged 18 years 9 months. He served overseas in the Cape of Good Hope from 16 June 1877 until 25 September 1878, and subsequently in Mauritius and the East Indies until he returned to England in February 1881. Sold with copy service papers which confirm medal and clasp.
